Lillard, Davis on NBA All-Rookie team

Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard was the only unanimous selection for the 2012-13 NBA All-Rookie first team, the league announced Tuesday.

Lillard, also a unanimous pick for Rookie of the Year, was joined on the first team by New Orleans forward Anthony Davis and Cavaliers guard Dion Waiters.

Wizards guard Bradley Beal and Warriors forward Harrison Barnes also were named to the first team.

Lillard, the sixth overall pick in last June's draft out of Weber State, led all rookies with a 19-point scoring average. He also averaged 6.1 assists and 3.1 rebounds, playing in all 82 games this past season.

He broke Stephen Curry's rookie record for 3-pointers in a season, finishing with 185, and became just the third NBA rookie with at least 1,500 points and 500 assists, following Oscar Robertson and Allen Iverson. Lillard also swept all six of the league's Rookie of the Month awards this season.

Davis, the No. 1 overall draft selection last year, averaged 8.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks -- the top marks among all rookies -- along with 13.5 points this past season.

Waiters ranked second among all rookies in scoring, averaging 14.7 points. Beal was the league's third-leading rookie scorer at 13.9 points per game, while Barnes averaged 9.2 points this past season.
