Pacers add C.J. Watson

Point guard C.J. Watson agreed to a two-year contract with the Indiana Pacers, sources confirmed to ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard.

Watson's agreement was earlier reported by HoopsWorld.

Watson tweeted an apparent nod to his choice of teams on Monday.

Watson, who played for the Brooklyn Nets last season, had a player option for $1.1 million but opted out to become an unrestricted free agent.

Watson likely will replace unrestricted free agent D.J. Augustin as the main backup to starting point guard George Hill.

In 80 games last season, the 29-year-old Watson averaged 6.8 points and 2.0 assists.
