Free agent J.J. Hickson has agreed to a three-year deal worth approximately $15 million with the Denver Nuggets, Yahoo! Sports reported Sunday night.
The deal can't officially be signed until Wednesday, when the league lifts its annual moratorium on free-agent signings and trades.
In Hickson, the Nuggets will get a 6-foot-9 center who averaged 12.7 points and 10.4 rebounds with the Portland Trail Blazers last season. His 40 double-doubles ranked seventh in the NBA.
A first-round pick of the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2008, Denver will be the fourth team Hickson, 24, has played for in his NBA career.
