DENVER -- Dwyane Wade missed the Miami Heat's game with the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night because of a sprained left foot. He is day to day.
Wade suffered the injury Monday during a game against the Rockets in Houston when he stepped on teammate Chris Bosh's foot. He was a game-time decision Wednesday night in Los Angeles and decided to play after X-rays showed no damage.
But he struggled in the Heat's 107-100 loss to the Clippers, shooting 2 of 10 from the floor and finishing with just six points.
Wade also is battling a thumb injury suffered last Sunday against the Grizzlies in Memphis.
"He wasn't 100 percent (Wednesday), but wasn't anything major," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "He has some minor and nagging injuries. Hopefully he'll get healthy soon."
It's the second game Wade has missed on the Heat's road trip. He also sat out last Friday's game against the Hawks in Atlanta with an illness. The team ends its trip Saturday in Phoenix.
