FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) _ Trenton Hassell scored 33 points, including five 3-point baskets, as Austin Peay fought off a fierce Colorado rally Saturday for a 91-86 semifinal win at the Top of the World Classic.

The Governors (2-0) led by as many as 11 in the second half, but Colorado (1-1) drew to within five on the outside shooting of forward D.J. Harrison, who led all scorers with 38 points, a new tournament record.

The game pitted Austin Peay's speed and height against a more physical Colorado team. The Governors stole the ball seven times to set up fast-break baskets, and a length-of-the-court pass to Nick Stapleton for an easy lay-up gave Austin Peay an 11-point lead with 5:20 to play.

Austin Peay's Theanthony Haymon opened the scoring with a slam-dunk and the Governors built a 17-point lead early in the first half. Haymon scored eight points in the first period and finished with 17.

But Colorado rallied late in the period, cutting the lead to two points with less than a minute to play on Blair Wilson's 3-point basket. Harrison scored 14 points to lead the Buffaloes in the period.

The Governors advance to Sunday's final, where they will meet the winner of Saturday's South Florida-Utah State game.
