LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) _ Marques Maybin scored a career-high 30 points and Hajj Turner added a career-high 12 points and eight rebounds to lead Louisville to an 89-86 win over Murray State on Thursday night.

Ellis Myles added nine points and nine rebounds for Louisville (4-6), which has won 26 straight games when scoring 80 points or more.

Isaac Spencer scored 30 points, Justin Burdine added 17 and Antione Whelchel added 18 points and 14 rebounds for Murray State (4-4), which has lost three straight games.

The Cardinals led by four at halftime and by as many as 11 in the second half.

Whelchel hit a layup with 2:09 left and Chris Shumate sank a 3-pointer with 1:25 remaining to cut a nine-point Louisville lead to four at 87-83.

Louisville's Erik Brown missed a running jumper in the lane with a minute left and Burdine sank a deep 3-pointer with 45 seconds left to draw Murray State to within one at 87-86.

Maybin corralled a loose ball and scored inside with 20 seconds left to set a new career best and put Louisville up 89-86.

Burdine missed a 3-pointer from the wing in the final five seconds and Rashad Brooks rebounded. He missed a free throw with 1.7 seconds left, but a desperation heave by Whelchel bounced off the top of the backboard at the buzzer.

Louisville committed a season-low nine turnovers and scored 19 points on 19 Racer miscues.

Murray opened the game with a 13-0 run after Louisville missed its first seven shots.

The Racers hit 11 of their first 14 shots and led 24-15 after Whelchel's free throw with 11:37 left in the first half. Maybin sank a 3-pointer from the corner eight seconds later to trigger a 9-0 Louisville run.

Maybin scored 22 points in the first half to help Louisville to a 47-43 halftime lead. Spencer matched Maybin's 22 first-half points for Murray State.
