NEWARK, Del. (AP) _ Marcus Blossom hit a jump shot in the lane with four seconds left to lift sixth-seeded Northeastern to a 74-73 upset over third-seeded Drexel in the quarterfinals of the America East basketball tournament Saturday.

Northeastern (10-18), led by Ricky Cranford's 27 points, will play second-seeded Delaware in Sunday's semifinals.

Jean Francois added 15 points for Northeastern and Blossom had 14. Cranford shot 9-for-17 from the floor and had six 3-pointers.

Stephen Starks' two free throws had put Drexel ahead 73-72 with 2:17 remaining. Both teams traded several possessions without scoring, and Northeastern got the ball back with 27 seconds left. After a timeout, Northeastern failed to get off a shot before calling another timeout at the 8.3 second mark.

Blossom then got the ball, drove toward the lane and put up his winning shot from about 10 feet.

Center Joe Linderman led Drexel (15-12) with 31 points on 14-for-19 shooting and forward Mike Kouser added 20 points and 13 rebounds.

Consecutive 3-pointers by Cleophus Morris and Dwayne Barnes gave Northeastern a 56-49 lead with 11:50 left. But Drexel battled back to tie it 62-62 with 7:43 to go, a run keyed by Ashley Howard's 3-pointer and two free throws by Kouser.

Linderman then scored seven straight points for Drexel on three layups and a foul shot for a 69-66 lead with 5:05 left. Cranford hit two free throws to cut it to 69-68 at the 4:15 mark, but Kouser answered with a layup at 4:02, Drexel's final field goal.

Francois made it 71-70 on a jumper with 3:35 to go, and Blossom's layup put Northeastern ahead with 2:42 left.
