At 6'8, Bass is an athletic power forward with good strength and leaping ability. He averaged 18 points, 13 rebounds and eight blocked shots a game as a junior in leading his Capitol team to a 29-3 record and to the state regionals before losing in triple overtime. He earned first team All-District and was the lone junior on the 4A All-State first team. He also was named the 4A District MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. After a strong summer circuit, Bass's stock grew in the talented class of 2003. Bass likes the uptempo style of play and is looking for that as he decides where he will end up next fall. He has narrowed his choices down to LSU, Alabama, Miami (FL), USC, Mississippi St. and UConn. All these programs will benefit a great deal with the presence of Bass.
