In his junior year, Butch was named Associated Press Player of the Year, Fox Valley Association MVP and first team all-conference. Butch also led his team to a 21-3 record, the Fox Valley Association Championship and an appearance in the 2002 Division I State Tournament. He averaged 22 points and 12 rebounds per game as a junior. He is the highest rated player out of Wisconsin since Sam Okey, who was a 1995 McDonald's All American. At 6'11, Brian not only dominates the paint but can spot up and shoot the jumper. An extremely versatile player, Butch will be expected to play all post positions for the Badgers next season.
