Charlie Villaneuva is a versatile player that has the potential to average a double-double every night. His size allows him to shoot over smaller defenders on the outside and his athleticism takes over when he is playing on the blocks. For his size, Villaneuva is an excellent ball handler and passer when running the floor. Villaneuva and fellow teammate Luol Deng teamed up to lead Blair Academy to an outstanding season. Villanueva is a 3 time All-State selection and has accumulated numerous All-Tournament Team selections over the past 4 years. Coach Bill Self and the Fighting Illini will be relieved when Charlie confirms his verbal commitment with a National Letter of Intent.
