Shay is a versatile guard that can play the one or two positions on the court effectively. She can run the point when needed but also has a nice shot as she averaged 17 points a contest. She has only played organized basketball in the United States for two years. A native of her home country, Israel, she used to play for the Israeli National Team. Shay's defensive skills are just as strong as her offensive as she averaged six steals a game. She was the Gatorade Player of the Year in New York last season while also earning MVP and All Tournament honors at the Nike Tournament of Champions. Shay will join coach Brenda Frese at Maryland next season.
