ESPN, ESPN2 part of CBS's contingency war plan

ESPN.com

CBS has reached an agreement to move NCAA Tournament games to ESPN and ESPN2 if it goes to full-time news coverage of a U.S. war with Iraq, according to ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz.

Should it be necessary, ESPN can accommodate games for Thursday and Friday and some over the weekend.

Due to women's basketball coverage as well as possible commitments with ABC, ESPN will have three openings to televise games on Saturday and one opening on Sunday.

CBS could also have the option of transferring games to other Viacom-owned networks including TNN and TV Land.
