Wake Forest's 90-80 victory over No. 23 Wisconsin on Wednesday night gave the Atlantic Coast Conference the Commissioners' Trophy for a fourth straight year as it beat the Big Ten in the nine-game challenge between the leagues.
Wake Forest, the only road team to win this year, was the fifth ACC team to win in the event that started Monday, joining Florida State, Duke, Clemson and North Carolina State.
The Big Ten's winners were Michigan State, Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota.
Michigan State's 82-75 win over Virginia on Wednesday night evened the challenge after eight games.
The first two challenges ended at 5-4 and the ACC won 5-3 last season when the Michigan State-Virginia game had to be canceled because of dangerous conditions caused by a slippery court. |
