PITTSBURGH -- Two of Pittsburgh's heralded recruits say
they aren't sure they'll commit to Pitt because the school recently
lost its head coach and has not found a replacement.
Emmaus High School senior Aaron Gray said he would immediately
become a Panther if associate head coach Jamie Dixon takes Ben
Howland's place. Howland left Pittsburgh to take a job at UCLA.
Gray said he'll wait until he hears the name of the new head
coach before he makes a decision.
Chris Taft, a Brooklyn, N.Y., high school student, is also
wavering over his original decision to sign with Pitt while Howland
was coach.
Dixon and Wake Forrest coach Skip Prosser are candidates to
replace Howland.
