A shooter like Forte needs a quick first step. He's got one. Forte has a tough drive-and-shoot move that he make consistently. He isn't afraid to take the ball to the hole, either, looking for contact before a layup.

Forte has Jordan-like ability to float over defenders. His hops allow him to get shots off despite blanket coverage. He'll slice through defenses by leaping through small openings. Forte makes himself look slower with ankle bracelets, but don't be fooled.

When Forte does drive to the basket, he uses his shoulders to draw the foul and get to the line. Forte was a 75.2 percent FT shooter. Even if Forte doesn't have the shot, he'll make himself get one by drawing the foul.

His hands seemingly are glued to the basketball. He doesn't fumble it, nor have trouble getting off a shot. Forte has his form down and never seems flustered when shooting. If he gets the ball, he's in a 3-point stance and ready to pass, drive or shoot.
