GAME DAY PREVIEW Game time: 12:30pm ET
Kansas State at Oklahoma State

STILLWATER, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Having completed its non-conference slate in convincing fashion, seventh-ranked Kansas State dives into Big 12 Conference play by visiting Oklahoma State.

The Wildcats (6-0, 3-0 Big 12 North) enter the weekend tied with Nebraska atop the North Division and appear on course for a November 13 showdown with the Cornhuskers.

Kansas State has won its last two games by a combined 90-9 and is coming off last weekend's 40-0 rout of overmatched Utah State. Joe Hall, a 265-pound fullback, filled in for injured running back Frank Murphy and carried 25 times for 195 yards.

The Wildcats have made a habit of blowing out inferior opponents over the last few seasons but last year were left out of the Bowl Championship Series despite a perfect regular season because of a relatively poor strength of schedule.

Things will likely be very similar on Monday, when the BCS ratings are released for the first time this season and Kansas State is possibly ranked lower than seventh, its standing in both major polls.

But first things first for the Wildcats, who have won seven straight from the Cowboys (3-2, 1-1 South), including last year's 52-20 rout here. In fact, this is Kansas State's third straight trip to Stillwater. Oklahoma State has not visited Manhattan since 1994.

The Cowboys still hold a commanding 32-19 advantage in the all-time series.

Oklahoma State should present a stern test for Kansas State's ground attack. Murphy has missed the last two games but Hall's surprising performance against Utah State gives the Wildcats hope that they can move the ball against the Cowboys' rushing defense, ranked 15th in the nation.

On offense, the Cowboys have had to navigate most of the season without injured starting quarterback Tony Lindsay. B.J. Tiger and Ben Bowling have split the duties, although it appears Tiger may have won control of the team.

A 6-3 sophomore, Tiger completed 15-of-25 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns in Oklahoma State's last game, a 41-21 upset of Texas Tech on October 9. The Cowboys had a week off and it will be interesting to see what Bob Simmons does behind center.

This will be Oklahoma State's third game of the season against a team currently ranked in the top 25. It suffered a 29-11 loss to now-No. 11 Mississippi State on September 18 and was beaten by third-ranked Nebraska, 38-14, earlier this month.
