COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) _ Mark Farris hooked up with Robert Ferguson on a 93-yard touchdown pass _ the second longest in Texas A&M history _ as the Aggies beat Wyoming 51-3 on Saturday night.

Farris, starting his second game after playing minor league baseball for five seasons, hit Ferguson across the middle and the receiver raced to the end zone to give the Aggies a 28-3 lead early in the third quarter. Randy McCown threw a 96-yarder to Chris Taylor last season for the longest TD pass in school history.

Texas A&M (1-1) has won 25 straight nonconference games at Kyle Field since a loss to Alabama in 1988. Wyoming dropped to 0-2.

Farris turned the game over to the subs with 6:27 to go in the third quarter following a 1-yard touchdown run by Ja'Mar Toombs, his second of the game.

Farris completed 14 of 21 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns, and Ferguson finished with seven catches for 174 yards.

The Aggies took advantage of Wyoming mistakes for a 21-3 halftime lead after the Cowboys got the early lead on Aaron Elling's 40-yard field goal.

After Wyoming was penalized for illegally touching the ball on an onside kick following its field goal, the Aggies took only three plays to score on Richard Whitaker's 23-yard run through a gaping hole on the right side.

Wyoming's Ryan Callahan touched an Aggies' punt and A&M's Dawon Gentry recovered it at the Cowboys' 5, setting up a 5-yard touchdown by Toombs with 14:02 to go in the half.

Farris was 5-of-7 and hit Ferguson with a 7-yard touchdown pass with 43 seconds left in the second quarter, completing A&M's 21-point charge into halftime.

Wyoming quarterback Jay Stoner was 11-of-18 for 69 yards in the first half, but suffered a mild concussion and did not return.
