BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) _ Mike DuBose's bad week got a lot worse.

Told earlier in the week to find another job once the season's over, DuBose oversaw Alabama's first loss in Tiger Stadium in 31 years Saturday.

Josh Booty threw four touchdown passes as LSU rallied to beat the Tide 30-28.

The loss assured Alabama (3-6, 3-3 Southeastern Conference) of its second losing season in the last four years. Alabama had not lost in Baton Rouge since 1969, going 14-0-1 over that stretch.

LSU (6-3, 4-2) rebounding from last year's 3-8 record, tied Auburn atop the SEC West. The victory secured the Tigers' first winning season since 1997 and their first three-game winning streak in the conference since 1988.

The victory sent the crowd onto the field where they toppled one of the goal posts and carried it to midfield and dismantled it. Fans toppled both goal posts and ripped sod from the field early this season when LSU upset then-No. 11 Tennessee.

Booty completed 18 of 31 passes for 275 yards. Josh Reed and Robert Royal each had two TD catches.

LSU opened the scoring with a 34-yard touchdown pass from Booty to Reed in the first quarter. Booty hit Reed again in the second quarter with an 11-yard touchdown pass.

In the first half, Alabama looked like a demoralized team stumbling through the season. The Tide had only 69 yards in total offense and six first downs. Three of Alabama's seven first-half possessions ended in negative yards.

Alabama's 72-yard second-quarter touchdown drive _ its only drive of more than 19 yards in the first half _ was fueled with 26 yards in penalties on LSU.

But the Tide rallied in the second half.

Ahmaad Galloway, who gained only 10 yards on seven carries in the first half, slipped through a group of LSU defenders in the third quarter and rambled 55 yards for a touchdown that pulled Alabama to a 14-14 tie. Galloway finished with 129 yards on 21 carries.

Dustin McClintock dove in for a 1-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter that gave Alabama it's first lead of the game _ 21-14.

LSU came back as Booty hit Royal with a 5-yard touchdown pass, but John Corbello, who missed a 26-yard field goal in the third quarter, had the point-after blocked leaving Alabama with a one-point lead 21-20 with 10:06 left.

On Alabama's next play Galloway fumbled and Ryan Clark recovered for LSU to set up a 28-yard field goal by Corbello that put the Tigers up 23-21.

Booty stretched LSU's lead, hitting Royal with a 16-yard touchdown pass to make it 30-21.

The Tide drove 81 yards to score the final touchdown of the game with seven seconds remaining as Andrew Zow hit Freddie Milons in the end zone for a 13-yard touchdown strike.

The Tide's onside kick was recovered by Royal for LSU, sealing the victory.

Zow completed 15 of 35 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns. He was intercepted once.
