No matter what year or class you belonged to, each of these names brings good memories and some great stories. But which one stands out the most? Read the stats and cast your vote for the best player in Georgia history.
Charley Trippi (1942, 1945-46) -- Regarded by many as the greatest all-around athlete ever to play at Georgia, Trippi won the Maxwell Award as the country's most valuable player and the Heisman Trophy runner-up in 1946. During that senior season he led the SEC in scoring with 84 points and finished with 1,366 yards of total offense. Herschel Walker (1980-82) -- Walker led Georgia to a three-year record of 33-3-1, including a national championship in 1980. He won the Heisman Trophy in 1982 after finished second as a sophomore and third as a freshman. For his career, Walker ran for 5,259 yards and scored 52 touchdowns. Eric Zeier (1991-94) -- The most prolific quarterback to ever play at Georgia, Zeier set 67 school and 18 SEC records during his four-year career in Athens. Zeier finished with 11,153 yards and 67 touchdown passes and was named to the AFCA All-American first team in 1994.
