Inside the college playbook

It's time for a course in College Football 101.

  Bill Curry
  Curry

Each week during the 2000 season, the experts at Sportvision will draw up plays to watch during that weekend's marquee college games, and ESPN's Bill Curry will provide a full breakdown of the play. Curry, who spent spent 17 years (1980-96) as a head coach in the college ranks, will explain how the play works and detail the keys to the play's success or failure.

The animated plays show full movement and allow you to follow the action from start to finish. To view the plays requires Shockwave. If you don't have this option on your computer, you will be prompted for download options.

No. 7 Kansas State vs. No. 1 Oklahoma
8 p.m. ET
Not much pressure here -- only a possible national championship opportunity for No. 1 Oklahoma or a possible BCS bid for K-State. K-State will likely try to pressure Oklahoma's Josh Heupel into mistakes, but they better watch out for the Sooner screen.

No. 17 Auburn vs. No. 8 Florida
4:30 p.m. ET
The last time these two teams met, Florida's Rex Grossman teamed with Jabar Gaffney to pick apart the Auburn secondary. Look for them to try it again this time using a jailbreak screen that allows Gaffney to make something happen.

Army vs. Navy
Noon ET
There is unusual nothing fancy about this game -- just good smashmouth football. But is Navy isn't careful, Army could surprise them with a trick play or two.
