1) What were your first impressions of Joe Paterno? How was the man who recruited you different from the image/idea you previously had of him?
"It wasn't different, it was just more personal. Not being with him, I had understood him as legend, but when you actually meet him you realize he's just a regular person."
2) What is your favorite JoePa story?
"The thing I remember most is he always said, 'take care of little things and big things will take care of themselves.' It's a very strong principle and helpful advice not just for football, but for life."
3) What separates Paterno from other football coaches?
"He's been doing it so long that he's really in tune with what that program's about and what players should achieve on and off the field. With Joe, it's all about knowing what's been established for an extended period and what been learned during your experience."
4) Critique his style -- coaching and fashion. What wardrobe advice would you give your former coach?
"He'd always have the rolled-up pants and black sneakers. As for his coaching style, he was always up front with players and supportive of players. He also drove home the theme of education. I don't think I can give him any wardrobe advice."
5) What impact has Paterno had on your life?
