SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- Lauren Beckman had 19 points and nine rebounds to elad 25th-ranked Utah cruised to their fifth straight win, a 54-49 Mountain West Conference triumph over Wyoming.

Amy Ewert scored 11 points and Kristina Anderson added 10 for the Utes (16-2, 5-0 MWC), who shot 44 percent (21-of-48) from the field and was 11-of-15 at the line. They held on despite scoring only 18 points in the second half.

Reserves Jessica Gibbs and Lisa McCann were the only players in double figures for Wyoming (8-8, 0-3), which shot under 36 percent (19-of-53). Gibbs scored 11 points and McCann 10 for the Cowgirls.

Wyoming's starters combined to go 9-of-25 from the field, including 1-of-6 from 3-point range. It also missed 4-of-5 free throws.

Utah had a 36-26 halftime advantage after shooting 51 percent (14-of-27) from the field.

The Cowgirls had 10 steals but committed 12 turnovers, including five by McCann. They suffered their fourth straight loss.
