TALLAHASSEE, Florida (Ticker) -- Levys Torres scored 15 points and followed her own miss for the winning basket with less than a second remaining as Florida State stunned No. 24 Virginia, 60-58, in a tightly contested Atlantic Coast Conference battle.

Torres made 6-of-14 shots and grabbed 10 rebounds in 34 minutes. She handed the Cavaliers (13-8, 4-4 ACC) their second straight loss and third in four games when her layup beat the buzzer and lifted the Seminoles (12-6, 4-4) to their first win in 21 all-time meetings with Virginia.

Katelyn Vujas scored 14 points and Shinikki Whiting added 10 for Florida State, which snapped a three-game losing streak.

Schuye Larue scored 16 points and Marcie Dickson added 14 for the Cavaliers, who shot 37 percent (23-of-62) and were a dismal 8-of-30 in the first half, when they fell behind, 25-19.

The Seminoles shot just 34 percent (21-of-62) but held a 45-38 rebounding advantage and overcame 20 turnovers.
