SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- Lauren Beckman scored 18 points to
lead three players in double figures as No. 21 Utah rolled to
its sixth straight win, 67-57, over Mountain West Conference
rival Brigham Young. Lori Red-Castagnetto scored nine of her 11 points in the first half and Lindsay Herbert added 10, all in the first half, as Utah (17-2, 6-0 MWC) led 35-28 at halftime. Led by Red-Castagnetto and Katherine Mccoll, who had eight, the Utes' bench scored 26 points. Utah led by three with 12:39 remaining before going on a 16-3 run to take a 57-41 lead with 5:16 to play. The Utes shot 47 percent (20-of-42) from the field, compared to 40 percent (22-of-55) for BYU. Erin Thorn scored 12 points and Chanell Rose added 11 for the Cougars (10-8, 2-3 MWC), who have lost four of their last six games.
