EUGENE, Oregon (Ticker) -- Kourtney Shreve scored 11 points and
No. 20 Orgeon used a balanced attack to defeat Pac-10 rival
UCLA, 54-43. Oregon (12-5, 5-2 Pac-10) got points from 10 different players and bounced back from a heartbreaking 55-53 home loss to Southern California on Thursday, when it allowed the go-ahead basket with 41 seconds left. Brianne Meharry, Jenny Mowe and Jamie Craighead added eight points apiece for Oregon. The Ducks shot poorly in the first half, connecting on 24 percent of their attempts (6-of-25). But they held a 24-19 lead at the break as UCLA (3-16, 2-6) shot just 20 percent (6-of-30) and was a dismal 5-of-11 at the line. Oregon jumped out to a 39-27 lead with 12:23 remaining before putting the game away with a 13-4 run. The Ducks shot 46 percent in the second half (13-of-28) and won for the eighth time in 10 games. The Bruins poor shooting carried over into the second half, producing a 24 percent mark (9-of-38) after intermission. Michelle Greco scored 17 points for UCLA, but was 6-of-29 from the floor. She hit just two of her 12 attempts from 3-point range. UCLA has lost all eight of its road games.
