AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Center Carla Littleton blocked two shots,
grabbed a key offensive rebound and scored in the final minute
Wednesday night as Texas scored the final eight points of
the game to defeat Colorado 65-62.
Littleton's rebound and basket gave Texas (16-6, 4-4 Big 12; No. 20 ESPN/USA Today, No. 21 Associated Press) a
three-point cushion.
Colorado (14-5, 5-3; No. 23 Associated Press) had two chances to tie the game, but Jenny Roulier and Mandy Nightingale missed 3-pointers.
The Longhorns trailed 62-57 with 3:57 to play in the game
before their 8-0 rally.
JoRuth Woods scored 20 points to lead Texas. Freshman Tera
Bjorklund had 23 points for Colorado.
