Scarlet Knights put game away with 14-0 run

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- Karlita Washington scored 14 points and No. 14 Rutgers used a tough zone defense to defeat Old Dominion 69-45 Wednesday night.

Davalyn Cunningham had 12 points, Tammy Sutton-Brown added 11 and Linda Miles had four steals for the Scarlet Knights (14-5).

Old Dominion (10-7) was led by Myriah Spence's 14 points, while Hamchetou Maiga had a game-high 14 rebounds.

Rutgers led by 15 at the half, then went on a five-minute, 14-0 run to put the game away. Rutgers twice led by as many as 32 points in the second half.

Rutgers sank 50 percent of its shots while holding the Monarchs to 27 percent field goal shooting.
