FAIRBORN, Ohio -- Wright State hired Bridgett Williams of Chicago State as its new women's basketball coach on Monday.
Williams took Chicago State, winless in 1999-2000, to 10
victories last season.
Before that, Williams was an assistant coach at Illinois-Chicago; an assistant coach at Kansas State, where she helped lead the Wildcats to the NCAA Tournament; and an assistant coach at Wisconsin when the team went to two NCAA Tournaments.
She takes over for Lisa Fitch, who resigned in March after the Raiders went 6-22 last season. They were 30-80 in her four seasons with the team.
