The New York Knicks are planning to take the floor without Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler on Sunday, according to multiple reports.
Both Anthony and Chandler are officially listed as questionable due to knee injuries.
However, Knicks coach Mike Woodson told reporters after Saturday's practice in Los Angeles that he's planning as if neither player will be available for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
"Yes, we went through shootaround thinking that (Chandler and Anthony will not play),'' Woodson said. "We got these (other players) in uniform ready to play."
Anthony rejoined the team in Los Angeles on Friday after getting fluid drained from his right knee in New York on Thursday. He practiced lightly on Saturday, according to the New York Post.
Anthony has been sidelined for four of the Knicks' past seven games, and missed large portions of two others because of the knee ailment.
As for Chandler, the Knicks center suffered a left knee contusion late in the first half of New York's loss to the Nuggets on Wednesday. He sat out the Knicks' loss to the Trail Blazers on Thursday, the first regular-season game he has missed this season. Chandler also sat out of practice on Saturday.
If Anthony and Chandler are out, Woodson may opt to start a front line of Chris Copeland, Kenyon Martin and Kurt Thomas. Those three started on Thursday against Portland.
The Knicks, who are also without Amar'e Stoudemire for approximately six weeks following knee surgery, have lost the first three games of their five-game road trip by a combined 67 points. They are just one game ahead of the Brooklyn Nets for first place in the Atlantic Division.
After Sunday's game at the Staples Center, the Knicks conclude their trip Monday in Utah.
