Source: Andre Brown concussed

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants running back Andre Brown has a concussion, a source confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com.

Brown was ruled out of Sunday's 41-27 win against the Cleveland Browns after suffering the injury while returning a kickoff during the first quarter.

"Everything is OK," Brown tweeted after he was taken into the locker room for evaluation by the team's medical staff.

Brown's in-game tweet is against NFL rules, which state that players can only tweet up to 90 minutes before kickoff, and postgame after media interviews. It is unknown if there will be any consequences.

Also on the injury front, a source confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com a report from USA Today that offensive guard Chris Snee is currently playing through a partially torn labrum.

Snee wouldn't confirm the injury following the game.

"I was in pain on Sunday night in Philly, but I felt relatively good today," said Snee, who did come out of Sunday's game early.

"I came out because I am a seasoned veteran," said Snee, adding that he believes he'll be "fine." "At that point in the game I made it through and didn't injure myself anymore."

Rookie David Wilson assumed backup duties behind starter Ahmad Bradshaw, and scored his first professional touchdown, a 40-yard run, with 5:41 remaining in the fourth quarter.

The 25-year-old Brown has rushed for 198 yards and three touchdowns this season, including a 113-yard, two-TD effort in Week 3 at Carolina.

Last week, however, Brown played just nine snaps in Philadelphia because the Giants don't trust him in pass protection.

Giants tight end Martellus Bennett suffered a hyperextended left knee injury in the first quarter, but returned to the field and played through the pain.

Bennett said he wasn't sure what the extent of the injury was yet, and any swelling would give an indication.

"Once I wake up in the morning I'll know," Bennett said.

Defensive end Osi Umenyiora ran out of the locker room postgame, telling reporters his son was in the hospital.

Five-year-old Tijani had an asthma attack in the morning and was released from the hospital later in the day.

Umenyiora played the entire game, making four tackles.

Browns middle linebacker D'Qwell Jackson, meanwhile, left with a concussion and did not return.

Jackson, one of the team's defensive leaders, was hurt in the second quarter.

The Browns also lost starting cornerback Dimitri Patterson in the second half to an ankle injury and defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin to a lower leg injury.
