Jody McDonald

Jody McDonald hosts 1050's McDonald and Tierney Show weekdays 1p-3p broadcasts and has spent over 20 years as a sports talk host building a reputation as one of the most knowledgeable and personable hosts anywhere in America.

Jody began his professional career upon graduating from Albany State in 1983. He worked in several capacities at ESPN as the cable sports network rose to prominence during the 1980s. Jody next swung into radio, serving as a talk show host in New York and in Philadelphia.

Jody's wide-ranging knowledge of sports is rooted in his love of sports from an early age. While growing up in Yonkers, Jody had a rare view of professional sports through his father, Joseph McDonald, Sr., who was the General Manager of the Mets, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Detroit Tigers.

While Jody is a busy guy professionally, he also makes time to coach his daughter's basketball teams each season. He also gets to sneak off to the track or to a golf course from time to time, but not nearly as much as he would like!
