NEW YORK -- Liberty guard Brittany Boyd will be sidelined for at least a month after fracturing her left wrist in Thursday's loss to Chicago.
Boyd was hurt while driving to the basket and landing hard on her wrist. A rookie out of Cal, she is averaging 6.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game this season for New York (21-9). Boyd had surgery Friday on the wrist and potentially could be back for the WNBA Finals if the Liberty make it that far.
New York has four games left in the regular season and is two wins away from clinching the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
Boyd had a career-high 22 points against Tulsa on Aug. 15.
