Lions 26, Saints 21
RECAP | BOX SCORE
It was over when ... Game ball goes to ... Eric Allen's analysis
James Stewart ran for 36 yards just after the two-minute warning to seal the win. Joey Harrington. The rookie showed Sunday why he was worth the third pick in the draft, throwing for 267 yards and a touchdown. Making Harrington the starter at QB has been a positive change. He's brought enthusiasm and energy. He doesn't have the pressure of playing to save his job (it's his) or to win a championship.
UP NEXT: Lions (1-3) -- bye   |    Saints (3-1) vs. Steelers (1-2)

Packers 17, Panthers 14
RECAP | BOX SCORE
It was over when ... Game ball goes to ... Eric Allen's analysis
Shayne Graham, signed by the Panthers two days ago, missed a 24-yard field goal with 13 seconds left that would have tied the game. Donald Driver. Brett Favre was good, but Driver's two touchdowns gives him the nod here. Favre, to me, is the best QB in the NFL, and he makes his teammates better. But I'm not convinced the talent surrounding him is good enough to win. Still, you never can count out Brett Favre.
UP NEXT: Dolphins (3-0) at Chiefs (1-2)   |    Jets (1-2) at Jaguars (1-1)

Chiefs 48, Dolphins 30

It was over when ... Game ball goes to ... Eric Allen's analysis
When safety Greg Wesley recorded the third of his three interceptions (all in the last eight minutes of the game). Trent Green and Tony Gonzalez, who hooked up for three TDs. Green threw for 328 yards and five TDs, while Gonzalez caught seven passes for 140 yards. The Dolphins tend to play good defense against pass-oriented offenses. But Gonzalez opened everything up for the Chiefs, controlling the middle of the field.
UP NEXT: Chiefs (2-2) at Jets (1-3)   |    Dolphins (3-1) vs. Patriots (3-1)

Bills 33, Bears 27 (OT)
RECAP | BOX SCORE
It was over when ... Game ball goes to ... Eric Allen's analysis
When Travis Henry scored in overtime on a swing pass from Drew Bledsoe. Drew Bledsoe has continued to be Mr. Clutch for the Bills, pulling out yet another overtime victory. If the Bills can find a defensive scheme that works, they'll be a team to be reckoned with.
UP NEXT: Bears (2-2) vs. Packers (3-1)   |    Bills (2-2) vs. Raiders (3-0)

Cowboys 13, Rams 10
RECAP | BOX SCORE
It was over when ... Game ball goes to ... Eric Allen's analysis
Rookie Billy Cundiff connected on a 48-yard game-winning field goal as time expired. Quincy Carter was not spectacular, but drove the Cowboys down the field for the winning field goal in the final moments. The question now is if the Rams decide to let young players show what they can do or still try to make a playoff push for their fans' sake.
UP NEXT: Rams (0-4) at 49ers (2-1)   |    Cowboys (2-2) vs. Giants (2-2)

Eagles 35, Texans 17
RECAP | BOX SCORE
It was over when ... Game ball goes to ... Eric Allen's analysis
The Eagles took a 28-7 lead early in the second half. Philadelphia's Brian Dawkins became the first NFL player ever to catch a TD pass, make an interception, sack the QB and recover a fumble all in the same game. The Eagles are a terrific defensive team with an awesome quarterback. The teams they've played are the best judges of that, and they would agree wholeheartedly.
UP NEXT: Texans (1-3) BYE   |    Eagles (3-1) at Jaguars (2-1)

Steelers 16, Browns 13 (OT)
RECAP | BOX SCORE
It was over when ... Game ball goes to ... Eric Allen's analysis
Todd Peterson kicked a 31-yard FG in overtime. Tommy Maddox, where have you been? The former XFL player and NFL journeyman relieved Kordell Stewart and led the Steelers to a come-from-behind victory. I believe Kordell Stewart is finished for the year. There's been too much pressure on him to perform perfectly week after week. The Steelers won today, and with QBs, you need to go with the last guy standing.
UP NEXT: Browns (2-2) vs. Ravens (0-2)   |    Steelers (1-2) at Saints (3-1)

Jaguars 28, Jets 3
RECAP | BOX SCORE
It was over when ... Game ball goes to ... Eric Allen's analysis
The Jaguars took a 21-3 lead against the struggling Jets' offense. Fred Taylor jump-started the Jags on their first offensive play, making a 72-yard reception. He finished with 237 yards combined rushing and receiving. The Jets need to look to the future to begin to build. Pennington is their QB of the future, and they might as well start building that future.
UP NEXT:Jets (1-3) vs. Chiefs (2-2)   |    Jaguars (2-1) vs. Eagles (3-1)

Cardinals 21, Giants 7
RECAP | BOX SCORE
It was over when ... Game ball goes to ... Eric Allen's analysis
Marcel Shipp gave the Cardinals a 14-points lead in the fourth quarter with his second TD of the game. Marcel Shipp, who didn't even play Div. I ball, provided a huge spark in the absence of Thomas Jones. Shipp rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns. The key for the Giants is the consistency (or lack thereof) of QB Kerry Collins. His interception today before halftime was huge, and it swung momentum to the Cards.
UP NEXT: Giants (2-2) at Cowboys (2-2)   |    Cardinals (2-2) at Panthers (3-1)

Buccaneers 35, Bengals 7
RECAP | BOX SCORE
It was over when ... Game ball goes to ... Eric Allen's analysis
The Bucs outscored the Bengals 21-0 in the second quarter. Brad Johnson threw three touchdown passes to lead the Bucs. The Bengals have good talent, but they haven't been able yet to rise to their potential. So their main concern isn't so much what happens between the lines, but what happens between the ears. They must work on a winning mentality.
UP NEXT: Bucs (3-1) at Falcons (1-2)   |    Bengals (0-4) at Colts (2-1)

Raiders 52, Titans 25
RECAP | BOX SCORE
It was over when ... Game ball goes to ... Eric Allen's analysis
The Raiders jumped to a 31-7 lead in the first half. Jerry Rice and Rod Woodson. Each set NFL records on Sunday -- Rice for career yards from scrimmage, and Woodson for career interception return yardage. It seems that the Titans have gotten old fast. They have a long way to go before they're back to their Super Bowl level of a couple years ago.
UP NEXT: Titans (1-3) vs. Redskins (1-2)   |    Raiders (3-0) at Bills (2-2)

Chargers 21, Patriots 14
RECAP | BOX SCORE
It was over when ... Game ball goes to ... Eric Allen's analysis
The Chargers recovered a failed Pats' lateral attempt in the final minute. LaDainian Tomlinson rushed for a career-high 217 yards and two long touchdowns. Whatever is successful against the Super Bowl champs will be copied, and smash-mouth football appears to be the way to go vs. New England.
UP NEXT: Patriots (3-1) at Dolphins (3-1)   |    Chargers (4-0) at Broncos (3-0)

Seahawks 48, Vikings 23
RECAP | BOX SCORE
It was over when ... Game ball goes to ...
Shaun Alexander scored two touchdowns right before the half to give Seattle a 45-10 lead. A no-brainer. Alexander set an NFL record with five first-half touchdowns.
UP NEXT: Vikings (0-4) BYE   |    Seahawks (1-3) BYE
