The Cleveland Browns promoted Jeremy Green, one of two pro personnel coordinators, to become the team's director of pro personnel. Green, 32, has been a rapidly rising NFL front office executive over the past six years. He started as an area scout for the San Francisco 49ers in 1998 and 1999 before coming over to the Browns to work in the pro personnel department. Green had worked on advance scouting and evaluating half of the league along with helping with free agent evaluations. He had some involvement in contract negotiations. Friday's promotion gives Green his first job running a department. Green is the son of former Vikings coach Dennis Green. John Clayton is a senior writer for ESPN.com. |
