The Browns lost their season opener to the Saints on Sunday. They also lost one of their biggest offseason additions for the forseeable future.
Jurevicius
Wide receiver Joe Jurevicius is expected to miss the next four to six weeks with broken ribs, The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported.
Browns coach Romeo Crennel said Jurevicius was undergoing an MRI
on Monday and the team was awaiting results. Crennel said initial
X-rays on Jurevicius were "OK."
Jurevicius was injured while catching a pass from quarterback Charlie Frye in the first quarter. The 20-yard reception on fourth down would have given the Browns a first down in Saints territory, but it was negated by an offensive penalty.
"It was a great catch by Joe," quarterback Charlie Frye said, according to the newspaper. "I wish we could've made it count. We missed him. He's a big part of this offense."
