Right tackle David Stewart has agreed to a lucrative six-year contract extension with the Tennessee Titans,
two months after left tackle Michael Roos was locked up with a long-term deal, The (Nashvville) Tennessean reported.
Stewart, whose deal would be worth $38.9 million according to the newspaper, would continue to help anchor an offensive line in front of quarterback Vince Young.
Roos completed a six-year contract extension this spring worth $43 million.
The Titans had tendered Stewart, formerly a restricted free agent, to a one-year contract in February, and the two-year veteran out of Mississippi State was expected to be highly sought by other teams.
According to the report, Stewart's deal includes a $6 million signing bonus and $10 million in guarantees.
