Sources: Leroy Hill meets with NFL

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill, the team's one-time franchise player, is facing a two- or three-game suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy, according to league sources.

This will be on top of the one-game suspension that Hill already served in the regular-season opener for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

Hill spent Friday in New York meeting with NFL officials, and could have an answer early this week, according to sources.

Hill was arrested April 12, about two weeks after pleading guilty to a marijuana charge, after a late-night incident with his girlfriend at their home near Seattle. Hill later made a deal in court to have the charges dropped if he completed a domestic-violence prevention program and has no criminal violations in the last 18 months.

In addition to awaiting word from the league, Hill also is nursing an Achilles injury that will sideline him indefinitely.

Hill also had his contract reduced dramatically. His salary this season was dropped from $6 million to $2.125 million and he had the remaining years of the six-year, $36 million contract he signed this offseason wiped off Seattle's books.
