Knee shelves Maurice Jones-Drew again

Jacksonville Jaguars halfback Maurice Jones-Drew missed Friday's practice and has been ruled out of Sunday's crucial game against the Houston Texans.

Jones-Drew last week missed his first start because of a knee injury that hasn't gotten any better. The Jaguars normally don't use players who because of injuries don't practice on Fridays.

Rashad Jennings will be the starter as the Jags try to win the AFC South title on the last day of the regular season; the Jags have to win and the Colts must lose to the Titans in order for that to happen. If both the Jags and Colts win, Indianapolis wins the division on a tiebreaker.

Trent Edwards will get the start at quarterback. Linebacker Justin Durant (groin) and tight end Zach Miller (concussion) also have been ruled out.

Safety Courtney Greene is questionable with a shoulder injury. The Jaguars placed quarterback David Garrard (right finger surgery) on the injured reserve list Thursday and signed linebacker Alvin Bowen.
