News: 8 hours agoValdes-Scantling (abdomen) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers after returning to a limited practice Friday.

Spin: After being deemed a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Valdes-Scantling logged a limited session Friday, which gives him a chance to suit up for Sunday night's 8:20 p.m. ET contest. Ideally, added context regarding the wideout's Week 4 status will arrive before the first wave of kickoffs Sunday, but if Valdes-Scantling ends up out or limited against Tampa Bay, Justin Watson and Skyy Moore would be candidates to see added WR snaps for Kansas City.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Valdes-Scantling landed $15 million guaranteed from the Chiefs after spending his first four seasons with Green Bay. It's a decent chunk for a player that has never finished a season higher than 50th in targets, receptions, yards or fantasy points among WRs despite playing with Aaron Rodgers. The 2018 fifth-round pick has taken "boom/bust vertical target" to the extreme, ranking first in average depth of target (15.8) and yards per reception (17.5), but last in catch rate (50.2%) and off-target rate (32%) since entering the league. The 27-year-old remains in an elite offense and has a path to an every-down role, but his lack of emergence in Green Bay is a red flag. He's worth only a late-round flier.
