News: 6 days agoSutton caught three of six targets for 61 yards in Sunday's 29-12 win over the Browns.

Spin: Russell Wilson attempted only 22 passes on the day as the Broncos led wire to wire, but Sutton still paced the team in receiving yards and nearly extended his touchdown streak to six games with a 31-yard gain on the opening drive that saw him pushed out of bounds at the Cleveland three-yard line. Samaje Perine scored instead on the next play. While Sutton's TD streak is over, he remains the team's top receiving option with a 48-560-8 line on 68 targets through 11 contests heading into a Week 13 clash with the Texans.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: The arrival of Russell Wilson was expected to help Sutton to a big rebound season in 2022, but the offensive struggles led to yet another dud. Ignoring a 2020 season lost to injury, Sutton has finished one of four campaigns as a top-40 fantasy WR (2019). He has primarily been utilized as a vertical target (career 13.0 aDOT) and near the goal line (fifth among WRs with 13 end zone targets in 2022), but he can't seem to find the end zone (four TDs in 32 games over the past two seasons) and is a nonfactor after the catch (2.3 RAC is last among 35 players with 200-plus targets over the past two seasons). Perhaps Sean Payton's arrival will breathe life into Sutton's career, but we'll need to see it first, especially with Jerry Jeudy, rookie Marvin Mims and TE Greg Dulcich crowding the pass catching group. Tim Patrick's season-ending injury makes Sutton worthy of a mid-round flier.
