News: 3 days agoVaughn's teammate, Leonard Fournette (hamstring), has been activated off IR by the Buccaneers, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.

Spin: The looming return of Fournette for his first game action since Week 15 bolsters Tampa Bay's backfield ahead of Sunday's divisional-round game against the Rams, with Ronald Jones (ankle) still out. In the team's wild-card win over the Eagles last weekend, Vaughn led the way with 17 carries, adding a pair of catches, while Giovani Bernard logged 13 rushes and five catches. As long as Fournette avoids any setbacks with his hamstring issue, however, both Vaughn and Bernard figure to see decreased volume versus Los Angeles, making them speculative fantasy lineup options.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Vaughn was limited to 96 snaps in 10 regular season games as a rookie after being selected in the third round of the 2020 draft. Vaughn was buried behind Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones II during most of the campaign and only played more than 30% of the snaps in one game. Granted it was against an historically poor Lions' defense, but Vaughn looked sharp with 69 yards on 16 touches. Vaughn has decent size (5-foot-10, 214 pounds) and entered the NFL with one of the best YAC and Forced Missed Tackle profiles in the 2020 rookie class. Vaughn remains buried on the depth chart in Tampa Bay behind Fournette, Jones and Giovani Bernard, so his primary value is that of a dynasty hold.
