News: 1 day agoPittman caught two of three targets for 35 yards and added a three-yard rush in Sunday's 31-3 win over Houston.
Spin: Pittman played second fiddle to T.Y. Hilton, who had four catches for 80 yards in his season debut. Hilton, who had previously been on IR due to a neck injury, exited early with a quadriceps injury, so it's possible Pittman will be thrust right back into a leading role. Pittman and Hilton were the only Colts with multiple catches as the team raced out to a big lead and relied on the running game, but there should be more receiving volume up for grabs in Week 7 against San Francisco.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Pittman missed three contests and was limited to 4.6 targets per game during a fairly uninspiring rookie campaign. The 2020 second-round pick was on the field for a hefty 78% of Indianapolis' offensive snaps when active, but he was held to a 40-503-1 receiving line and only two weekly fantasy finishes better than 50th. Pittman was mostly used in the short area (8.9 aDOT) but was terrific with the ball in his hands (his 6.9 RAC ranked third among WRs). The 23-year-old is a strong bet for a second-year leap as, with T.Y. Hilton out, he slots in opposite Zach Pascal, with Parris Campbell in the slot. The 6-foot-4 Pittman is a breakout candidate and a very good target for your flex spot.
