Users: Prime Time's time had come to call it quits

Deion Sanders pulled the plug on him Prime Time NFL career Friday, informing the Washington Redskins that he was no longer interested in playing football. Sanders, a 12-year NFL veteran who also has played in parts of eight major league baseball seasons, had been attempting a baseball comeback but packed his bags and left the Triple-A Syracuse SkyChiefs after Thursday's game.

Here are your thoughts on Prime Time's retirement and what he should do next:

To the hardwood?
He'll try out for the Lakers and proclaim that Showtime needs to be on Prime Time.

Someone call marketing
Make him a contestant on (ESPN's upcoming reality-based game show) "Beg, Borrow, and B.S." and make him see how much he needs his big paycheck from the 'Skins.

Deion, you're still the man, you gave me and thousands of other fans great memories through your outstanding plays.

Way past his Prime Time
His 15 minutes of fame expired quite a while ago. No one fears the name Deion Sanders like they once did. He's smart to retire when he did.

Thanks for the memories
Deion, you're still the man, you gave me and thousands of other fans great memories through your outstanding plays. I'll never forget how exciting I got watching you drop back for a punt or picking off a pass and going in for six.

Try more sports!
He's done football. He's tried baseball. Perhaps the Washington Wizards need a point guard, or maybe the Capitals need a defenseman? Then there's always golf.

Banged up and having lost a step or two, he is, at most, average. It's the right call -- Deion had little more he could offer the game.

Before his time
I think that Deion Sanders' retirement from football is a shame. At 33, he is way too young to retire and is kind of wasting his athletic talent and knowledge of the game.

Going out on top keeps legacy intact
Deion Sanders was the greatest cover cornerback in pro football history. He didn't want to tarnish that legacy with a couple more seasons playing the nickelback. He knew it was time to go.

Prime Time should pursue national pastime
I think if he really is retiring from football, he should try baseball one more time. If not, just sit back and let people admire what he has accomplished.

Nice timing
Up until last year, Deion truly lived up to his billing as "Prime Time." Now, banged up and having lost a step or two, he is, at most, average. It's the right call -- Deion had little more he could offer the game.

James
Binghampton, N.Y.
