RB Devonta Freeman will visit with the Giants, per source. The veteran is still a capable rotational back. He's currently looking for a landing spot that will get him touches. This would seem to be the place with Saquon Barkley expected to be out for the season.

David Moore was set to make $2.133M this season before agreeing to a paycut on cut-down weekend that dropped him to $900K. Did he have any uncertainty about remaining with the Seahawks? “Heck no," he said. "I looked at it as, it was meant for me to be here. Everything happens for a reason. To be back here having fun like this, who would want to miss out on any of this? I know dang well I wouldn't." Moore, Seattle's No. 3 receiver, caught three passes for 48 yards and an touchdown Sunday night.

The Seahawks came out throwing Sunday night, just like in Week 1. The difference against New England was they also got the desired results from their run game without establishing it early. They dropped back on 21 of 34 first-half plays and still finished with 154 rushing yards (39 of them came from Russell Wilson). Chris Carson, Carlos Hyde and Travis Homer combined for 115 yards on 25 carries. "That kind of balance is just so good for us," Pete Carroll said. "It makes our team the way we are."

A mixed bag for Jamal Adams in his second game with the Seahawks. He led them with 10 tackles and had their lone sack, but, Per NFL Next Gen Stats via ESPN's Seth Walder, the Patriots were 6 for 6 for 157 yards when Adams was the nearest defender to the targeted receiver. Not all of those plays were necessarily Adams' responsibility. "I'm my biggest critic," he said. "I came out there and gave up some plays that I shouldn't have, but that's OK. I'm still learning, and I'm OK with that."

Seth Walder ESPN Analytics

When Jamal Adams was the nearest defender to the targeted receiver tonight, the Patriots went 6-6 for 157 yards, per NFL Next Gen Stats. One, *maybe* two, of those catches might not have been Adams' responsibility. But the point remains.

One of the primary reasons the Seahawks traded for Quinton Dunbar was they loved his ball skills and hadn't gotten enough interceptions from their cornerbacks in the post-Richard Sherman era. Dunbar jumped an out-breaking route to pick off Cam Newton for his first interception with Seattle. It gave the Seahawks a short field and they capitalized with Russell Wilson's fourth touchdown of the game, this one to rookie Freddie Swain.

Seth Walder ESPN Analytics

Russell Wilson's 38-yard touchdown pass to David Moore had a completion probability of 6.3%, per NFL Next Gen Stats. That's the lowest completion probability on a completed pass this season and the third-lowest in the history of the metric (since 2017).

Notable snap counts for Jets: OFFENSE (62 total) — RB Frank Gore 36, RB La'Mical Perine 8, TE Chris Herndon 47, TE Ryan Griffin 25, WR Josh Malone 39, WR Chris Hogan 56 (leads receivers). DEFENSE (59) — DT Quinnen Williams 38 (tops among DLM), LB Alec Ogletree 33, LB Avery Williamson 17, S Ashtyn Davis 12, CB Bless Austin 59 (leads defense). Quick take: What does it say that Hogan, on the street at the start of camp, led all skill players?

Trouble for the Seahawks against New England as they're down to their third free safety in Lano Hill now that Quandre Diggs and Marquise Blair are out for the rest of the game. Diggs was ejected late in the first quarter for a helmet-to-helmet hit. Blair replaced him then left when his right knee was hit by teammate K.J. Wright and bent awkwardly. Blair was quickly ruled out. Last year's second-round pick, Blair was one of the standouts of camp after he made a strong transition to nickelback.

Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said he found out Tyrod Taylor had suffered chest pains that required him to go to the hospital after the coin toss, prompting him to tell Justin Herbert he's starting. On who will be the starting QB moving forward: "I'm gonna wait and see what type of health Tyrod is in. If he's 100 percent ready to go, he's our starter. But I know Justin can pick up the slack."

A positive from the 17-13 loss was the Giants battled back without Saquon and Sterling Shepard. Had a chance to win on final play. Joe Judge thought he was able to "find out a lot about the team we are. ... I liked the way our guys responded. We've got the right guys."
