Troubled San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith returned to Twitter Monday night for the first time since his April 13 arrest at LAX.
Smith took to Twitter late Monday night:
Stay positive and always give your best effort, eventually you will overcome your immediate problems and find you are ready for greater tests

It was Smith's first public comments of any kind since he was arrested for a fake bomb threat. The Los Angeles County Attorney office is considering misdemeanor charges.
Smith has a May 12 court date in Santa Clara County Superior Court on felony gun charges and a drunken driving charge. Smith could also face NFL discipline.
The 49ers exercised his 2015 $9.75 million option for the 2015 season on Friday. Smith, 24, is working with his teammates in the 49ers' offseason program.
