Reports: Ravens invite Jerry Rice Jr.

The Baltimore Ravens have invited wide receiver Jerry Rice Jr. to try out at the team's three-day rookie minicamp that starts Friday, multiple media outlets reported on Tuesday, citing sources.

Rice, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice, caught only 11 passes, including one for a touchdown, for UNLV in 2013 -- his only season with the team. Before that, he had nine receptions as a walk-on at UCLA.

The Baltimore Sun reported that the 5-foot-10, 185-pound Rice has not agreed to a contract. He participated in a 49ers local pro day before last week's draft, and he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.68 seconds and had a 33-inch vertical at UCLA's pro day.

Rice's father played in the NFL for 20 seasons, winning three Super Bowls with San Francisco, and is the league's career leader with 1,549 receptions for 22,895 yards and 197 touchdowns.
