Sources: Austin Davis flying to Cleveland, expected to sign

Former St. Louis Rams quarterback Austin Davis is flying to Cleveland on Sunday night for a visit and a physical with the Browns, according to sources. If all goes well with the Browns' roster maneuvering, Davis is expected to sign a contract with the team.

Davis started eight games for the Rams last year, throwing for 2,001 yards, 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions. The Rams cut Davis on Saturday, and he cleared waivers today. The Browns have been interested in Davis since the spring, when they inquired about his services.

Davis will join a quarterback room with Josh McCown and Johnny Manziel.
