NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a nightclub altercation that allegedly involved New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan this past weekend, a NOPD spokesman confirmed. No charges have been filed and no arrests have been made.
The incident occurred early Sunday morning and was reported to police. According to the female accuser, she and her boyfriend were inside of the location when they got into an altercation with a man identified as Jordan.
"The bottom line is, we're gathering the information," Saints coach Sean Payton said Wednesday. "We are aware of it and I'm anxious to find out more. ... I think I know Cam pretty well, but I also know at this time that I don't know all the details."
The incident was earlier reported by WWL-TV.
