OG J.R. Sweezy joining Bucs on 5-year, $32.5M deal, source says

Former Seattle Seahawks guard J.R. Sweezy and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to a five-year deal worth $32.5 million, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Sweezy, who turns 27 on April 8, was a defensive tackle in college at NC State, but the Seahawks liked Sweezy's athleticism and used a seventh-round pick on him in 2012 to convert him to an offensive lineman.

Sweezy (6-foot-5, 298 pounds) has started 49 games and has been a durable option at right guard, having missed only two starts over the past three seasons.

He has been inconsistent overall, performing better in the run game than in pass protection.
