Ron Rivera among NFL coaches, players to mourn passing of Buddy Ryan

Longtime NFL coach Buddy Ryan, the architect of the 1985 Bears' championship-winning defense and father of NFL coaches Rex and Rob Ryan, passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 82.

Some of his former teams reacted quickly to the news:

Ryan was known for his tenacious defenses and his bond with his players, which was reflected in his words and theirs: Others from the world of football and beyond quickly reacted as well: A number of people mourned the deaths of both Ryan and women's basketball icon Pat Summitt, who also passed away Tuesday morning.
